We collect almost nothing, and sell none of it.
Last updated 29 May 2026
Get Iqamah is a logistics tool for finding masjid jamaat times. It is not a business built on your attention or your data. This page explains exactly what is collected, why, and how to opt out — in plain language, because a privacy policy you can't read protects no one.
The short version
- We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — and only after you say yes.
- Your location, if you share it, is used on your device to compute distances. It is never stored and never sent to our servers.
- We have no ads, no trackers beyond analytics, and no third party ever buys your data — because we never sell it.
What we collect
Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to see things like which cities visitors come from, which pages are used, and whether features work. This sets cookies in your browser and shares usage data with Google as a processor. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device and does not identify you.
Your location. If you allow location access to find nearby masjids, your coordinates are used only in your browser to sort mosques by distance. They are never written to our database and never transmitted to our servers.
Mosque manager accounts. If you sign in to manage a masjid listing, we store your email address and authentication details so you can log in and so we can attribute the timings you submit. This is the only personal data we hold on our servers.
Cookies & consent
The only cookies we set are from Google Analytics, and only after you choose “Accept” on the consent banner. We use Google Consent Mode, which means analytics stays off by default until you opt in. You can change your mind at any time — see your choices below.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We never show ads or work with ad networks.
- We never track you across other websites or build advertising profiles.
- We never send notifications, marketing emails, or “re-engagement” messages.
Who else is involved
We rely on a small number of service providers who process data strictly on our behalf:
- Google Analytics — usage analytics, only with your consent.
- Supabase — our database and authentication for mosque listings and manager accounts.
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the website.
Your choices
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings — the consent banner will reappear and default back to off.
- Revoke location access through your browser's site permissions. Nothing of yours is stored either way.
- Access or delete your account. If you have a mosque manager account, email us to request a copy of your data or to delete it.
Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR give you rights over your personal data. We honour these requests regardless of where you are.
Children
Get Iqamah is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the consent banner where relevant.
